NET question help??

Ok so after months of thinking about this ive decided that I want to go back to school to become a LPN. I was very excited I finally found something I really would love to do, then I heard about the NET. At first I thought no problem I'll buy a book and study it, I got Kaplan book to be specific. I started studing and found that it is VERY hard, now I am second guessing if I can do this or not, in this book everything seems so hard, even the reading which i thought I'd have no problem doing, there are words I have never even heard of in my life. So my question is, how hard is the net REALLY?? I know this is a very silly way to put it, but how much harder is it then getting your GED, I've never really taken any big tests besides that one, and if I have no chance at the NET I mine as well not waste my time. Thank you for any help.

if you go here... http://www.eriproduct.com/detail.aspx?ID=88... you can purchase a NET study guide and they also have an online practice test (NET-HOBET) you can purchase. It helped me a lot when preparing for the test. Good luck!
edited to add...
I took the GED... I really didn't think that the test was that bad. The math was easier on the NET then I was on the GED, IMO. The hardest thing about the NET was the short amount of time you have to complete it.

When I took the NET, I waited until the deadline to take it...like that very day or I'd have to wait a year. I woke up late. Go figure. I had to drive an hour to the testing center. Got there 80 minutes before they closed and I think the test is what? 3hrs? I had to sign a waiver saying I wouldn't hold the admin people responsible and that I would leave at closing even if not finished. I never studied for the test. I took 60 minutes total to test, got out of there before they even closed. My overall score? 98. So to answer your question - no, it's not hard. I'm sure the study material makes it out to be worse than it actually is. If you have half your wits/brains about ya, you'll do fine.
