Moving to Fairbanks AK for only 1 yr

My husband and I just got married in Aug. He is in the Army, now in Iraq. When he returns he will be stationed in Fairbanks, AK. I am currently waiting to get into a nursing progam here in Texas. I now have a dilema...I was going to just get my BSN here in Texas but since I have married things have changed. My husband will be in Iraq until this time next year. The thought of spending another year away from him is too much in itself. I am now trying to find an LVN program to get into either in Jan of 2009 here or an LVN program in Fairbanks, starting next fall. Not too many choices, any advice?
Thanks

Contact University of Alaska Fairbanks and check. At one time they had an LPN program but it my have been associated with University of Alaska Anchorage.
In any case, if you go to FBKS be prepared for the weather. Cold does not begin to describe their conditions in winter and it can be 100 degrees in summer.

pm me for more details re being up there.
