I was a CNA for 4 years before getting my LVN so my resume said "I am the bestest butt wiper this side of the Rocky mountains." At the time it was probably true.

You may wish to visit www.careerbuilder.com for a list of different resume formats, so that you can create your own unique resume.

If this issue is significant enough to you, you may want to visit a resume service. For a small fee, they'll create a resume that emphasizes your best qualities and skills.

I had my resume reviewed by several professionals and they all said it was excellent, if you want to PM your email i can send it to your or vice versa and i can help you out.

It is important to have a resume, when applying to online ads or walking in to a facility. Your in a professional world and you need to have the basics such as a cover letter, which is best personalized and a seperate reference sheet. this should all be typed without grammatical errors(which i make sure i check on these types of things, not so much when replying on this website lol). You should use proffesional resume paper in Ivory or white- you can get it at walmart for like $9 for a box of 100 sheets, which is pleanty, trust me! You should also send out a thank you card to any place that has interveiwed you. You can google resume formats "lpn resume examples" and there will be websites that allow you to use there formats. You can also go online to microsoft word online and downlaod a resume format there- you just remove their info and type in yours. Anyways good luck and if you need some help just ask!

When I was about to graduate, my professor suggested listing the locations where we did clinicals, the focus of that semester (ie: OB/GYN) and what skills we did. It's better than nothing and they'll be able to tell that you are a newly licensed nurse, anyhow. I also agree with TheCommuter...I would pay someone to create one for me if that were financially possible. I had a resume service create one for me for about $25.00 and gave me the disk so that I was able to alternate it as I saw fit. Good luck, everyone!
