LPN's with a four year degree in another field get paid more than regular LPN's.

Hello:

Do LPN's with a degree in another field get paid more than a LPN with out a degree? I would like to know do the employer pay you for your BA degree.

I heard that BSN's get paid more than ASN's at some hospitals around Louisiana. The BSN's at state hospitals are getting 3.00-5.00 more than the ASN's. Someone told me sometimes 10.00 more depends on the department.

So is that true?

BSNs get paid more than ADNs because they have more nursing classes.

My friend is an LPN who also has a BS degree in public health, and she does not receive more pay for her additional educational attainment. I do not even have a college degree yet, and I happen to earn $0.50 more per hour than she does.

Hey Commuter, where does one get IV therapy certified? Our instructors yesterday told us that we won't be learning venipuncture(which I already know) or IV therapy. Lend me your knowledge!
