In Chattanooga Tn LPN's starts out making $14-$15 Hr. RN's $18-$19 Hr. Which is good, our cost of living here is very low. You have choice of 2 schools one will cost you $3,000 and the other $7,000 for the year.

Hi, I am a nursing student and I have two questions on salary. One I live in burlington county nj. looking to see what lpns make on average to start down here and if anyone recommends any places in burlington or camden county. Also, I will be moving in 2 years to wilkes barre pa area. I was wondering what any lpns made in that area and if they recommended any employers to check out in those areas. I quite honestly the first two years need the money more that happiness and then after that I can be fussy over where I work. thanks for the help

Hi! I live in Burlington Cty and am a LPN for 2 years now. In 2005, I was offered between 17-18.50 an hour for LTC positions. These were full-time staff positions with benefits. If you don't need benefits or want to work per diem they can be higher. Also, depending on what shift you can earn 1-2$ more an hour. If you are looking to REALLY make $$$, you might try agency work. I felt too green to try it though. Private message me and I can give you some more info.

It all depends on the area that you live in. I have read some posts where people say they make from as low as $12.00/hr and in my state(Connecticut), new Lpn's start out at at leat $25.00/hr.
lets see if anybody can beat this...11.65/hr to start with, after 1 year 12/hr...in a hospital, med/surg unit. serious and...sad!!! glad i moved now.

Hi, all! I just want to ask if anyone knows a private school in San Leandro that offers a weekend LVN program. My friend told me that she once trained somebody last year and she couldn't remember the name of the school. Thanks!
