Re: LPN to RN upgrade in B.C?
Your best bet is the bridge through Athabasca.
You need to maintain your AB license and you need to have a certain number of hours experience as an employed LPN (usually 1200+hours). All Clinical hours are completed in Alberta at hospitals of the university's choice.
From what I've heard, their bridge is more generous than the one offered by GMCC. I haven't really heard much about the bridge in BC other than for a while their were more LPNs than spots. Usually, after completing the prereqs (first year university transfer Arts courses) you as an experienced LPN are admitted to year two of the four year BScN. Which means you have to hope that some of the BScN students dropped out at the end of first year.
Good luck.
