Nurses LPN/LVN

Published

I am working with Hurricane Katrina victoms. One of the people is a registered LPN in LA. She is trying to change her liscense to TX so she can apply for work. She has found there is a $200 application fee. Is anyone aware of how, where, or who we should contact to see if this application could be waived due to the circumstances.

Specializes in telemetry, cath lab recovery.
Didn't the just gave a $ 2,000.00 doller debt card hellooooooooooooooooooooo she got enough money to cover her license don't let her play you like that...I don't know but ever since this dam hurricane accured this people are wanting everything for free get you asses up and help youself instead of getting handoutssssssssssssssss

I think it's sad that there are some unsensitive nurses out there. I actually take that comment very personal. I was personally affected by Hurricane Katrina. My house is still standing but got about 2 feet of water in the house. Lost all the furniture in the 1st floor. Hospital I currently work for is closed for a couple of months, so I'm without a job. I have not applied for any assistance and I don't plan to. But not everyone is as fortunate as me. I am in a bad situation but I know I have it good compared to other people. I just hope God makes you a more sensitive person as time goes on.
