LPN positions in South Florida

Nurses LPN/LVN

Published

I am in the process of getting my Fl LPN through endorsement, original license from New York. I have been out of the nursing feild for 25 years, completed a refresher course, and will soon try to find a job. I don't anticipate any problems from FLBON, except maybe the 30 + days it may take to process the paperwork. So I thought I should start looking for advice now. Any suggestions ? Allnurses.com has given me some excellent advice on the other topics i have posted questions about, i am looking foward to hearing from any LPN's in South Florida with advice on which direction I should persue. Thanks in advance.

Specializes in office nurse for 10 years, Ltc for 7 yea.

I lived in Southwest Florida for 25 years. In fact, I graduated LPN school there. We lost our home during Hurricane Charley in 2004( that's another story) and now live in TN. When I left they were beginning to phase out the LPN's in hospital settings, but there were plenty of jobs in LTC and clinical settings. All of my children still live in Port Charlotte, and my kid's send me copies of job openings. I still hold my Fl. license also, just in case.LOL. But one hurricane was enough for me thank you! Good luck with your job search. I don't think you'll have any problems.

thanks for the encouraging news i am sorry about your loss from hurricane charly i am on the east coast ft lauderdale area i hope to hear from some LPN's on this coast as well

please anyone out there i really need some advice.......

I don't have any advice, but you might get more hits, if you post this in the FL section of this site. Good Luck and welcome back to nursing!!!
