Nurses LPN/LVN

Published

Hi everyone. I am a new LPN in NYC and I've been looking for a job forever. I wanted to work in a facility but right now they've tightened the ranks, asking only for people with experience; etc. I've been recently offered a job in Private duty nursing and the pay is amazing more than what i'd make fresh out of school anywhere else and I'm grateful and excited.. But I just want to know my prospects?

Will this experience help me at all in my job quest to transfer to a facility? Besides honing my nursing skills[which i look forward to immensely] does it have any other benefit? If anyone could help I would be so grateful.

Thanks

Make sure that the company gives you enough orientation. Make sure you're comfortable with the case acuity too. Don't let them throw you into a ventilator case or a unstable case as a new nurse.. Get . If the company is a good one, they will support you and not try and throw you to the "wolves

Home health nurses and PDN's are in my opinion, notorious for being creative and crafty in a good way lol. Very resourceful.
