LPN/LVN Additional Certifications

Nurses LPN/LVN

Published

I know that you guys (LPN/LVN's) can now get a load of other certifications on top of your LPN license. I know that you can get your IV certifications and oxygen and what not, but what are some of the other possibilities for an LPN?

It makes me feel silly not knowing these things as a nurse with 3 years experience or more, but I guess it doesn't hurt to ask! I try to focus on the medication and patient care part

You can do an internet search and look on your state Board website. My state lists providers on the Board website and I have found local providers through the internet.

wow, i didn't know that neither im going to post this for later in the future

In my experience anything that our State Board of Nursing deems within the Scope of Practice for LPN's that was formally only in an RN scope we need certifications to comply...go figure
