If you mean doing skilled nursing visits in the community, it's vastly different of course. I personally found it more stressful. You spend a lot of time driving from client to client. Maybe they "forgot" and aren't there and you just drove there for nothing. There is no "salary", you get paid per visit. The pay is better than nursing homes
if you get in enough visits. I liked it in spite of the stress. You get to see different things, get outside instead of being cooped up in the nursing home all day. I live in a rural area, gave it up due to the high cost of gas/car maintenance.
