Hi! I'm expecTING A baby in july and I am hoping to go back to school to get my RN shortly after he is born. I would like to go full time but I do not want to go to an on campus school full time. I'd prefer to do a combination of online and on campus classes to minimize time away from the baby and babysitting expenses. I've searched but am coming up with minimal results. Excelsior keeps popping up-but I hear it's expensive and not sure all credits would transfer to another college later on. Hondros is another option. Does anyone have experience at either of these schools, or another suggestion for me? I'm desperate. Also, as a disclaimer, I am planning on getting my associates before my bachelors so that I can start working as an RN and make better money and have experience before getting my bachelors. I'm not opposed to skipping my associates and going right for my bachelor's, but I would prefer to get my associates first. Thank you!

I don't live in FL but I am pregnant & due in July as well. Do you have any support (family/friends/the baby's father)? I am applying for fall 2015 bridge program at the local community college. I couldn't not handle EC, don't trust ISU & the others. There are no part time/weekend programs but my college has a day care, so I'm definitely gonna look into that. Good luck with your search!

Make sure that you do not fall for the College Network Scam (TCN) that preys on LPNs who wish to get their RN. All they want is your money and they are NOT a college, but a publishing company and they are not associated with any college, no matter what their fast talking sales people tell you. They also will be glad to hear that you are desperate because your emotions are the way to your wallet. The online programs or any for profit program is going to be extremely expensive and may cost you a powerful price. The most affordable way is to get your pre reqs done at your local community college which can be done part time. Start there.
