Sorry for the delay in response.
I'm a former CNA. However, I haven't work in that capacity in 12 years. I worked my way through college the first time as a CNA in a nursing home. I also crossed trained for a short period of time as a phlebotomist. Again, that was probably 10 years ago. Other than that, no I don't have any other medical training. My bachelors degree is in an education field.
I have to say that 80% of my class are currently working as a CNA. However, I don't think it really makes a difference in an LPN class. Although they might understand a little more than you in some instances, it's not enough to really set you apart from the rest.
You will do just fine, don't worry. They teach you everything you need to know in an LPN class.
