Just curiosity


I'm reading through gastrointestinal problems section, and stuck with this question in my head.... why are older adults susceptible to dehydration and/or malnutrition? Why is that????

They don't feel thirsty even when they need fluids. The sense of taste declines with the years as does the appetite.
