I'm Taking My Exam On Monday 8/22/05

Is there anything that you guys recommend? Anything you think I should know concerning the test? Tips on answering questions?

I was a Hospital Corpsman in the Navy and separated in August of 2002 and I was eligilbe to take the test even after three years. I'm taking it because I can and I didn't have to go back to school and complete any courses. I know it's been awhile but if I pass I can double my pay check. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I hope that you have been using a review book to prepare for the exam. There will be topics on the exam that you have probably never seen.

Saunder's Comprehensive Review for the NCLEX-PN is an excellent source but it is a little late in the game for you if you haven't already been reviewing.

Since you were a former corpsman, I think that you are located in CA somewhere. Be aware that it will take several weeks before you find out your results, it will not be right away.

If you have anymore questions, please let us know.

Is it really true that you have to wait two weeks for results? In the package that I received there was a letter that stated I can find out my results in about two days for an charge of about $8.00

That was the package that you received from Pearson-Vue, not from the CA BON. Read the fine print, it states if your state permits it. California does not. Sorry.

It will take you about one month before you will have your license in hand if everything goes your way with the exam tomorrow.
