I took my NCLEX PN for the 3rd time, whatya think?

Nurses LPN/LVN

I graduated the LVN program in August of '03. The first and second time I took the test, I failed at 85 questions. (I must've done really bad)... I'll admit, I didn't put my all into it, I was too excited from graduation and was not focused on studying prior to my tests. Anyway, for my 3rd try (taken on 3/4/05), I studied my *** off. For a whole month, I read and practiced questions off of Lippincott's and Saunders (incl. the cd-roms)... I stressed, obsessed, and just studied as hard as I possibly could. (what more do i need to know, i'm not trying to be a physician here)...

So the night before taking my 3rd test, I relaxed, watched tv (because I didn't while i was studying)... Woke up early the day of my test. Had breakfast with a friend that was taking the test as well. Then while on the "hot seat" at the test-taking center, I was literally pissing my pants, sweating hard! I was nervous because this was my 3rd time okay. So.. I would sit there, breathe in/out, try to relax... Gave it my all to the best of my knowledge. I hoped and prayed I wouldn't stop at 85 (knowing i failed at 85 before), I DIDNT! OH thank goodness, even though the CAT test stops whenever it decides whether you pass or fail. Anyway, I stopped at the maximum of 205 questions in 4.5 hours.

I got alot of priority nursing questions. Similar formatted questions but different disorders/diseases.. A few 'new format' select all that applies question. No dosage calc. A few ISLAM questions.

Anyway, WHAT DO YOU THINK?????????

It is anyone's guess, and that is exactly what it would be.

Good luck, and you will just need to wait until you get your results. None of us will be able to offer anything else........

AS stated before, you can pass with 75 and you can fail with 75. You can pass with 265 just as easy as you can fail with the same number of questions. It will just come down to how well you answered the questions.

I passed with 80 questions answered. A lot of other people in my class that took the test were saying that the computer quit at either the minimum or maximum amount of questions and they all passed. Just like the previous post says, it's all how you answered the questions. Good Luck!!!:)

I think you passed, I got all the questions too and was tormented with the new style formatted questions, I don't think they would do that and fail you too that would be just wrong. :p
