Hey! I graduated from and lpn program dec of 07 and passed NCLEX in Iowa April of 2008 on my first try. I am now living in GA b/c my DH is in the army and I had to move about three times in the last year so we are settled and I finally have my own transportation and my GA nursing license. Ok that was just to let ya know why I haven't worked yet lol

Anyway so Monday I went in to turn my resume into a nursing home I dressed professionaly just in case. I got an interview on the spot and it went pretty well. The DON was very sweet and told me she had no problem hiring a new grad b/c she knew everyone had to start somewhere. It seemed like it went will and she said she was going to call my reference and do a background check and that she would be calling me. I of course am getting anxious cause my references have said they haven't heard anything but I am trying to remain hopeful but don't want to get to excited or anything. It isn't my dream to work in a nursing home but I figure it will get me experience and the schools around here require you to have a year of experience before they let you in the RN program.. Well talk to you all later
