How long do I have to wait

ok so I hope someone can shed some light on this situation...I took my NCLEX-PN on thursday and found out via telephone (quick unoffical results) that i had passed the NCLEX. How long do I have to wait before my license shows up on the texas board of nursing website? I need to work!!

CONGRATULATIONS GOOD JOB. I too had taken my NCLEX on a Thursday, found out my results on the following Saturday. I was working on a temporary license though. It took about 2 1/2 weeks for my official license to come in the mail. I think it depends on the state that you live in.

My license number appeared on the internet approximately 11 days after I had discovered that I had passed the NCLEX. When you need to work immediately, the wait can seem like an eternity!

wow, they really must be on the ball in texas!i looked online and there was my name in all my glory! i can offically write LVN instead of GVN!!! and to you mike....i have never been one to "freak out" for testing. even in nsg school i was pretty calm and collective. so here is the secret to studying for your NCLEX...relax. you already know the material, its just going to be a review. you would not have made it through nsg school if you didnt know what you were talking about. dont try to cram the night before the test. i started studying about 3 wks before the test. they have wonderful study books. try not to focus on one subject. everything is a possibility when it comes to the test. and like i said...just relax. the night before the test, dont even look at a book. go have fun and try to relax and get some sleep. you will do great! good luck!
