Tasha....I would look up the # for the BON here, and take it from there. Each state may have different criteria, and several have mandatory Continuing Ed. Good luck!

I would take Boards where ever you are going to school. Once you pass, THEN transfer. Oh, and keep up your original license, just in case hubby gets transfered back. Less hassle that way.

I found it difficult and expensive to transfer my Pennsylvania license to Ohio. With fingerprinting, cost of having papers from Pa. to Ohio, Ohio not wanting to accept my transcrpt from Mercyhurts College where I went to school, Ohio's insistance on a seperate IV certification course, and the list went on and on. I finally got all my stuff approved but the whole thing was about 300.00 and way more hassle than it should have been. Now I am licensed in both states and will guard these with my life.........

I know in Canada going from province to province it can be a "female dog" to transfer licenses. BC charges for every piece of paper they touch, everything has to be notarized, criminal checks, etc. Alberta had less paperwork, but they feel that the Anatomy course taught in BC doesn't have enough depth, so require extra courses.

Sometimes I think the entire re-license process is one big money grabbing scam. Lets face it we write a national exam but are licensed provinically or in your case state by state, whats with that???
