Thank You have a wonderful blessed Day

Check with different schools in your area and make sure it's accredited. I went to a technical college for mine. Meet with the financial aid and registration departments and sign up for the pre-requesites. It took me three quarters, two classes each quarter, but I was able to exempt math and English due to previous college credits. I had to take a very basic computer course, Spanish for Allied health, Intro to Healthcare, Basic Psychology, Medical Terminology, A&P. There'll be advisors along the way and they will be your main contact point. I had to take the DET test (score high enough to get into the nursing program) and had an interview with the nursing teachers and head of Allied Health department. I was accepted based on my pre-req GPA, DET score, and interview skills. The nursing program itself was full-time for one full year, with classroom days and clinical days. Go for it and good luck!!

Awww

You will do great! Remain positive and you will succeed. If there are an abundant supply of LPN programs in your area shop around for the one with the best NCLEX success rate. In my program we were required to pass an ATI exit exam before we were allowed to graduate; which at the time was a pain but well worth it. :)

Thank You Soo much for answering.

If i may ask

What happens after pre reqs are done.

Are you in Chicago.

I live by Humboldt Park already looked into a Community College.

How would i be able to find out about the NCLEX ?

Thank You

God Bless :D

No, I don't live in Chicago, I'm in Virginia. Usually when it comes to pre-req's they must be completed before acceptance/entrance into the program usually with a C or better. Once pre reqs are done then I would assume that one would just apply to the actual program. I went to Centura College in Richmond and we did not have to complete prereqs for the program; however we had to pass an entrance exam and that consisted of math and English to make sure you had college competency. I'm currently working towards my RN and the prereqs for that have to be completed prior to admission. Once complete than the applicant can apply and pray they get in.:x3:

Have you completed required prereqs for the program? Have you called your local practical nursing programs? They usually have counselors to help you with academic planning. Again I wish you the best. Stay vigilant and focused!;)

I am in Triton's RN program, It is tough but fair. As far as the LPN program they have informationals almost monthly you should contact the school for more information. Also You live in Humboldt, have yu considered Wright College they have an excelent LPN program and it is available to take in the evening. but you still need the pre reqs regardles. best of luck to you and feel free to message me if you have any inquiries.

Hi kencanwin,

I see you know about Wright college. What have you heard about Wright. Is it too competitive. I just took my Teas n don't feel too confident about it. Any info will be great. I know you're attending triton but if you've heard anything about wright ill appreciate the scoop :)

My Coworker is attending

Wright for her LPN.

She is taking pre reqs.

She does not like some of her teachers.

They are never on time, first 30 mnts of class they talk about their personal lifes. She also said that they get an assignment and pretty much have to learn on their own or with the very little notes the professor gives them

I will be attending that school soon.

Oh I see so you haven't started your prereqs yet. I'm pretty much done with the prereqs. I'll be applying to LPN Program to start this January ;)

I took my prereqs at Daley though
