Hospital to do primary nursing

by cstrick

Hi,
Has anyone else encoumtered this? Our managers say that California is now going to use RN's in giving patient's meds, the LPN will more or less be used as an aide, but doing treatments and PRN meds. So I have heard that they tried this several years ago but it didn't work then. I guess we have no choose but to do it. I'm not sure how to look at this process? I am trying to keep a good attitude on it. Any one else have imput?
