Honestly, Exam Cram VS Saunders for PN NCLEX

All successful test takers, please be honest. Which book is more helpful in the preperation of passing the PN NLCEX? Exam Cram, Saunders, Lippincott, Mosby, i'm soo confused and i need to focus on one! I like everyone else would love to pass on the first attempt. Any pointers will be GREATLY appreciated!!!!

I used all of them except Mosby. They were all useful but Saunders alone is sufficient. I also used Exam Cram Q&A quite a bit. I liked how all the questions in each test were random and not topic specific.

I used exam cram. I went through the entire book and that plus some of my school books is all I used. I passed first try.

I used Saunders only. Exam Prep from Pearson is good too. Don't be overwhelmed with the choices. Choose what works for you. Take a deep breath. You can do this!!

I used the Exam Cram by Pearson and a lot of the questions FROM that book I saw on NCLEX. I studied that book for a few days before the test and I passed with 85 questions! Good luck!

I don't think you "have" to have the 4th edition, but it will have the most up to date information. If I remember correctly the 3rd edition came out in 2006. So, it's not 'really' old by any means. I wanted the 4th edition originally, but it was backordered when I needed it. My advice, no matter what method you use to study, don't wait too long to take the test. Take it as soon as possible! You'll do fine. Just take a deep breath!!

I thank you all for the input, by the way are there any other tips or hints to know or focus on? We could never remember everything!

I had Saunders, but stopped reviewing it after a few days, as there seemed to be a lot of differences between what we learned in school (taught through the hospital I'm working for) and the book. Was just confusing and frustrating me, so I stopped, just made sure I was well rested, well fed, and well hydrated before the test .... passed at 85 questions. I'm sure any of them are good,.....just in my case, I felt it was stressing me out and peace of mind going into the test was more important to me than cramming - I felt that, by the time you finish school, you either know it, or you don't.
