Help with NCLEX-PN

Updated Oct 13, 2006 at 12:07 PM by zwoman80

Hi everyone. I'm a recent graduate (August 24) of an accredited LPN program:studyowl:. During the ceremony one of three professors hand out and award. I happened to earn the award for CLINICAL EXCELLENCY, which basically means that they thought I interacted the best with my patient, performed the best patient care, was able to carry out my duties with limited guidance and completed my charting according to policy!!!! Now, I believe that most of my fellow peers deserved to receive this award also, but being that only one is given out, I'm glad that I was the recipient because I worked so hard to prove to everyone that I could do it. I did my clinical with dedication to my patients, but also to myself. Before I began the program a little over a year ago, I was a stay at home mom of 2 boys (5 & 3). Being in an unsteady relationship with the father of my kids for 7 years always left me wondering what would become of my life if we ever split up. I had basically no college education (1 semester in human services when I became pregnant) How would I support myself? So one day I got the mail and inside was a brochure form an LPN school and I thought..Hmmm, a nurse sounds like a good idea, and so I signed up and one year on wait list later, I got accepted. My idea of a nurse was far from what I was going to experience. Many times I doubted myself, and even wondered if this is what I wanted to. But as time passed I realized that this is something that I can definitely do and is very rewarding. And so receiving this award acknowledging my work and dedication definitely boosted my ego. And remember that I was just a stay at home mom with no past healthcare experince. I think I've done Darn good for myself. My NCLEX-PN test date is Nov. 2. I'll write back to tell all that I passed!!!!!

The reason I need help is because I'm looking for any websites that contain quizzes or tests for the nclex exam.

Thanxs

Congrats to you! I also recently graduated August 30th and also received the award for clinical excellence. It was tough because so many people deserved this award and a total suprise for me. I took my boards on Monday 10-9 and am waiting on pins and needles for results. It shut off at 86 so I think that made me even more nervous.
Our school provided us with a great tool for practice testing through out the year called the ATI system. It is a website that gives you practice tests and wonderful guidelines for taking the NCLEX. It was included in our Tuition and besides the Proctored exams which we took through out the year, it allowed us to have unproctored exams for practice. I spent alot of time on the Pharm part and nutrition. There is a comprehensive one that is like taking the NCLEX because it is a sampling of all of the subjects. Also don't forget the peds/maternity as well.
The site is called http://www.atitesting.com
Hopefully it will allow you to use it even if your school did not. Good luck and welcome to nursing!!!
