Has anyone been either denied or approved by NJ unemployment to attend LPN training? I am 52 years old, studied up on the algebra, and was thrilled that I had been accepted into a program at a vocational school....just received my acceptance letter last week, only to be told this week by NJ Unemployment that I can't attend because now the LPN programs in NJ are 15 months instead of 12 (which is due to the fact that NJ has cut so many teachers). They said my option is to attend MA training. My desire is to work in hospice, so I'm not sure that MA training is the route to go.

I would ask for further details and info.

I would have to agree that LPN is the way to go. It is a few months longer, but double the money. I do not know what part of NJ you are in, but I know that Camden County has a program. Hope this helps!
