Freakin' Out Again.. Nclex Lvn

Nurses LPN/LVN

Published

I recently took my NCLEX LVN Boards this past April 28, 2006. I received my results in May and unfortunately I did not pass. I was wondering if anyone has advice on what book would be best to study from. It's deja vu all over again. I feel so discouraged, but I know in my heart that it wasn't my time. I'm currently studying from Saunders edition 2 NCLEX-PN, and NCLEX-PN Review made Incredibly Easy 2nd edition. What do you guys think? Or is there any other book that would be better to study from. I hope you guys can help. Take care and GOD BLESS!! Thank you in advance.

You might want to check the NCLEX fourm in this board..Also, in saunders, I have the 3rd edtion..I just gradauted in May and will take NCLEX soon

Head back to the NCLEX Forum. Suzanne has alot of good advice.

Specializes in Geriatric and now peds!!!!.

The 2 books you mention are the 2 I used to study from. I also took the computer tests too. Dont despair! 2 of my friends had to take the NCLEX twice. do you have a study schedule? I studied 2 hrs a day from the day I graduated until I took the NCLEX (2 months). I also did the computer tests too. Good luck!!

LPN and darn proud to be one!!

steph98 , I just graduated from pn school 2 weeks ago, I'm hearing that the ncsbn review was a definite winner ! Good luck!:wink2: :wink2:

I used Saunders and also Kaplan.com.

Go to your local library and just check out a bunch of med/surg books. Study up the pharm as much as possible. I lucked out on my nclex because two hard pharm questions were actually meds that my grandmother is on. If it wasn't for that, I would not have gotten those correct!

Also study up on priority questions. I had a lot of those. The ones where they say "which pt would you see first..." then you get two options you can automatically throw out, and two that are both really hard to choose from.

Good luck.
