I am starting my first job and I am so scared that I will forget everything. I am wondering if there is a nifty cheat sheet that I can use to pick my brain if I get stuck? I am mostly worried about physical assessment. I feel that I have all the other procedures down. If there is anything please help me!!!!

You will do fine. Just relax its not that bad. You will learn your residents and it will become old hat.

Don't worry too much about forgetting things. Instinct will kick in more than you think. :)

That's what got me thru. I STILL carry my tabers, med book, lab book, and med surg in my knapsack as a security blanket after a year tho, just in case. Found that I've never looked at anything but the med book, but the security makes me feel better. Then again, I also have three extra sets of car and house keys in various places, two steths, $5.00 in quarters, an extra bp cuff, a spare uniform, including clean underwear and sneakers, aspirin, tyl, motrin, benadryl, hand sanitizer, hand lotion, an extra cell phone, with charger, wet wipes, tissue, and a few other personal items either in my knapsack, or in my truck. Guess that's overkill tho.

Believe me tho, it's GOOD to be a little apprehensive, keeps you on your toes! Relax, you'll do fine!

Ditto what they said. Keep your eyes open for opportunities and you will be fine. P.S where are you located in NODAK. I hunt in Harvey every year and would move there in a minute if I could get the wife on board. The sky at night in NODAK is just incredible, looks like it did 150 years ago without all the light pollution of the cities.....
