Everest... Please Help!

Ok,
I have been looking into Everest, pretty much sold on the idea! Yes, I know it's expensive, but here in Michigan the waiting lists are ungodly, and taking to long. I was just wondering if anyone was an everest lpn graduate and if you used your certificate to do a lpn-bridge RN program?!?!? I have all my pre-req's done at a CC, just want to know if the certificate is qaulified. Let me know, that would be great!

I'm not up to speed on Michigan, but in California Everest is starting to set up bridge programs in some of their locations. If they're starting that over here, I would suspect they would be starting something similar up in that area as well sometime soon. I know that's not the exact answer you're looking for, but hopefully it helps somewhat

I haven't done it yet, but there are several Everest grads I've worked with who bridged to RN. I'm planning to do it eventually but I need to pay down my student loans first.

hello....when everyone talks about a bridge program what is it....how does it work?

i graduated from LPN school 2 yrs ago,it was at a college but it wasnt a college run program...it was an adult ed....but the college does have a RN program.......and just htis year the college has taken over the LPN program as well......and there is talk about a bridge program to start up in the future.......my question........does one have to go to the bridge program right after LPN school.....or can one wait a year or 2.......plus would the bridge program accept lpns that graduated else where like i did?
oh and one more......when entering a bridge program do you still need the pre reqs? I need college alg and chem.....AAHH.....this is the only thing stopping me..other wise all my classes from yrs ago transfer...

just wondering..

I would inquire with the school. In my area (New York), they will accept the credits as long as they are not older than say 7-8 years. And, many LPNs are doing the LPN to RN bridge programs and have waited a year or two. Good luck!
