2. was it worth it ? Yes.

3. do you wish you would have passed up your lvn and did your R.N? That was not an option at the time I enrolled in the LVN program. At that time I was living in Southern California, which is a very difficult state regarding admission into an RN program. I had no prerequisite classes completed, and was stuck working at a dead-end job in a factory. I needed to quickly escape that situation, and the LVN program provided the perfect outlet at that time in my life.

I now earn decent income as an LVN while enrolled in an RN program. Many generic RN students do not have the luxury of earning $25 per hour while putting themselves through school. This is the very reason why I have no regrets for attaining my LVN licensure first. When you have money, many of your stressors are relieved during school. It's nice to attend school while not feeling poor.

2. was it worth it ? absolutely, I am currently attending a state/public program (with one more semester left) which has been around for decades i think we obtain an excellent education there. you dont have to commute a gazzilion miles just go to clinicals.I started with 40 ppl in my class and we are down to 37 (none dropped because of grades). The instructors are great and willing to help in whatever way they can
3. do you wish you would have passed up your lvn and did your R.N? No way!!!!!! There was a reason i chose to do it this way. I already have $15,000 in student loans (every time i look at those figures i cringe). I want to pay my way through RN school and still be able to keep a roof over me and my child's head.
