    At the hospital here, the clinical tech has similar duties to an LPN although not entirely the same. But more than a CNA. They can do venipunctue, ekgs, insert foley caths, etc. They can also advance from Clinical Tech 1 to 4, meaning more $$$ for increased responsibilities. The hospitals here don't employ many LPNs at all.

    That sounds like what we call a "PCT" Patient care tech. They can do a little more than the CNA. It is still a certificate program. They do not pass meds or do treatments.
