Nurses LPN/LVN

I used to work in a nursing home but it just wasn't for me. The day I quit my job in LTC, same day I got hired in a home health care co. as a full time employee, salaried, you get a car, free cellphone and gas reimbursement. What more can I ask for. :balloons: :lol2:

Specializes in Rehab, Corrections, LTC, and Detox Nurse.

congrats. Not many homehealth positions where I work. You either have to be a RN or a CNA

Specializes in Community Health, Med-Surg, Home Health.

I don't get the free cell phone, but homecare nursing is the thing for me as well. Unfortunately, I can't work there full time because I have a contract for the facility that granted me full time release with pay and paid my tuition to become an LPN. Homecare is more personal, not so rigid and you can really put all of your concentration into your clients. I have a side case that I do on Saturdays, and the money for that one day is great! Glad you have a better opportunity!

Specializes in Case mgmt., rehab, (CRRN), LTC & psych.

Congratulations on finding a work position with all of the extra little perks that you adore.

LVNs are hired in the home health specialty where I live. After I gather a few more years of bedside experience, home health is one of several areas that I might like to break into.

thanks for all the replies. as for the free cellphone, I use it for coordination of care with the pts' MD when needed and to call the office to report anything that needs to be reported to my supervisor, patient wise.;)
