CEU's

It is possible that your state will not require you to get CEUs for your first renewal. You should contact your state Board to find out about this. Other than that, you need to complete the requirement between the dates of your last license issue and the date your next license renewal takes place. Here is a website for one provider; they usually will have some info about which states accept their courses: www.NetCE.com

Once you start doing CEUs or around the time your license comes up for renewal, you will start getting catalogs in the mail from these and other providers.

Also, make sure you keep your CEU certificates of completion for quite some time after you renew (7 years,I think). I believe the Board can 'audit' you for a certain amount of years after each license renewal... Maybe I am wrong on this--although it may specify this on the Board's site
