As an LPN I taught medical assisting.

They can also teach CNA classes in many places.

As far as childbirth and breastfeeding classes, I'd recommend you get certified in that area 1st-try alace.org.

    Good luck,

Kelly, where did you teach? It seems that you live in New York, and I am also interested in teaching CNAs and Medical Assistants. I do know of some LPNs that have taught medical assisting schools and I seek to branch in that area when I get more experience.

I think I might like teaching or assist in teaching a CNA class, CPR, breast feeding or a child birth class. Is this something a LPN can do with the right training? Is there any other classes you can think of I might be able to teach or assist in teaching? If any of you do teach can you please tell me how hard it is? I am also wondering are there a lot of teaching jobs out there? Thanks for your response. I am really interested in fining out my options for teaching?

LPNs can also teach ACLS and PALS. Take an American Heart Association Instructor course.

In some PN programs, the LPN can be Clinical Instructor.

    Thanks Siri,
I went to the American Heart Association and looked up these courses. I was sick premature baby and my husband has heart problems,so these type of courses are near and dear to my heart.

LPN's can teach aides. Also, they make great community nurses. Educating the schools, visiting work places, etc, teaching about all kinds of health-related topics. There are positions that do this for a living. Check local, state or county job listings.
