my husband and i are both med-surg lvns. we are exhausted with the treatment we are receiving at our current "employer" and contemplating moving to another city or state anywhere in continental us. just wondering if anyone can throw out some city or state names where there are treated with respect and decent work ratios, and if they are compact states with texas. if there is already another thread w/this sorry, just give me the link. thanks in advance!

i am hopefully in the proccess of getting a job there. the most positions they have are physcians offices for lpn's but the pay is excellent for a doctors office and the benefits are wonderful. no weekends, no holidays. it has been voted one of the best hospital networks to work for. i know a couple of friends who work there and absoutly love it! good luck with your job search!!

Have you tried the VA hospitals, I know they hire LPN's. I don't know about the pay but I hear the benefits are great. There should be several in every state.

Yes I have recently been offered a job at the VA in wilkes barre pa. I am holding off though because the job is rotating all three shifts and you dont have any set weekend off. So I can be stuck working like every weekend for who knows how long. I have a four year old son and am a single mom so, the scheduele would be really hard for me to keep up with. The pay is starting off at 17.66, which is a little higher than there starting range but Lehigh Valley is higher start and the benefits there are just as good. I go for my third interview today, so I am a nervous wreck!!
