I'd like to hear if the Seattle, WA market (and surrounding area) is still dried up for 2014. I don't mind what area of nursing it is in. I plan on moving there in 2015. I saw a post on it back in 2012. Thanks!

I'm from Cali, I passed my boards last June 2013, after my license number came out in the web site I start looking for a job. My 1st job was Sept. 2013and landed on County Department of Public Health under Jail Medical Services as Staff Nurse. Then by January 2014 I applied in a hospital and got hired as Lead Clinical Nurse. I tried to double job before but I ended up quiting to my county job. It just depends where the opportunities is. I mean you have to love your job and make the best of it. :)

I have worked in FL and Cali. I had a larger scope of practice and a FAR easier time getting good jobs in FL. But I made more money in CA (even with the increased cost of living), however I know I was extremely lucky to get those jobs. Also there are more lpn to rn programs in FL.

I don't know that they are great places to go but I thought I would share my experience.

Not to hash up old thread been researching job market for LPNS. Considering going the LPN to RN route. Once I get my LPN I want to run far away from state of CT, think the Healthcare market is stagnant and COL is high.

Heard top 3 states to be an LVN are California, Pennsylvania, and Florida...does that seem true?

I know California has a program the work doing here on CT is not licensed, but maybe 3 states license/train/school psych techs and they are LVNs/LPNs.
