Keep on moving!

Within a couple of weeks you will develop an efficient routine that works for you. When I first started, I felt as if I was drowning in all of the tasks that were my responsibility. However, efficiency and grace will come with the passage of time. Good luck!

[i know everyday when i do things i get better at it. i just need to build my confidence back up but when i was in school and read the books they teach you stuff that not even applied at the real stuff. why?? do they make you go through torture and this is what ends up happeing. . i felt discouraged at first but i think ill be okay but med pass for me today 1st time.. residents have no id band so if im not good at memorizing i would have given it to wrong residents. no way! i make sure i reverify w/ someone ebcuz i worked hard to get my license..

Make sure you eat. I don't care how busy you are, bring a sandwich or something to keep your sugars at a decent level. Yesterday, I had 8 thousand things to do, and I went to lunch anyways. Still got done by 3pm, some of my treatments had to wait a while, but it wasn't critical.

D0nt Worry!...Im goin through the same thing as you, so I definitely know how u feel with the meds and n0 arm band. It's okay to ask staff for help when identifying a client or for any questions at all; its better to ask questions rather than risk your license..I work at a mental health rehabilitation center, a new grad, and just beggining with orientation and they are already having me be the med nurse/tx nurse and lvn unit supervisor. It's crazy, just have confidence and youll get through it. we can d0 it!...of course itll feel awkward to us in the beginning but soon enough well be great nurses!..Keep ur head up~! =)
