Are there any LVN in California going thru the Indiana BSN program

  1. Wondering if there are any LVn in California going thru the LVN-BSN program via Indiana State University? Can you provide any insight??? I just want some information or help in doing the process. I'm in San Francisco and need anyone local that can help or not?

How hard is it to get into the LVN-RN by the community college route? I know that SFSU or SJSU is out of the question because they don't go that way? What about spending $34,000 and go to a private school that does the LVN-RN?

I met with a new advisor and an Indiana advisor from The College Network last week. I am starting that program with ISU, but I am finishing up pre-requisites with The College Network. You should set up an appointment with an advisor for a better outlook. I liked what I seen and heard, and I've done plenty of research online. There are pros and cons to going this route, but it's really up to you individually and what your situations are. I am a new Mom and a new nurse (LVN). I am a busy women with goals. I decided to take this route because it works with MY schedule and there is NO WAITING list. I hope everything goes well for me as well as for you all in you endeavors! Good luck!

I assume you are talking about Western Career college with there lvn - RN program for $34,000. I am considering it, but that is a lot of money! The RN programs in the sacramento,ca area are very hard to get into. Around a 3- 4 year waiting list AFTER prereqs are done... unless you get extrememly lucky with the lottery system.

Question.....the Western Career College, is there a waiting list?? Also, what pre-reqs/rules do they require?? I have a lot of pre-reqs, but they are old, so not sure if they would cross over. I am in SoCal, but I heard there will be a school like that in this area next year??

    Thanks!

the waiting list for WCC is little to zero at all. The problem i see with WCC is they are always having ads out for nursing instructors. Not sure how the lack of nursing instructors affects the program wait list.

The require the same pre regs for all rn programs..all 10.
