Applying for jobs without License #

Nurses LPN/LVN

Ok here is the deal

Failed NCLEX 3x in FL took it a 4th time for NY & passed in Dec. applied for a endorsement app for the FLBON just waiting for it to get processed and whatnot I called them they said they just got my app & it's being processed she couldn't tell me how long it would be

Anyway my question is should I start applying for jobs without a license number? I mean it doesn't make much sense to do so in my opinion but I wanted to know what y'all thought

I had a KY license and applied for GA license through endorsement. I didn't apply for jobs while I was waiting ( I was lucky though and only had to wait a week) for my license because most of the job postings wanted the license number on the resume so I figured it was pointless. The only place I did apply for was a military hospital because they take licenses from any of the 50 States. :-)

You apply and say, "license by endorsement pending." Tell them where your license came from, and they can look it up in Nursys.

Should I put that on my résumé

Not necessary. Note your present license and they will understand that you know you have to get the new one as part of your job hunt in the new state. This is why you put it on the actual app they have you fill in.

Ahhh thank u so much for ur help!

Yes, you can apply. I didn't have my license yet when I got my first LVN job. The facility will hire you provisionally and let you go if it turns out you failed the exam.
