Another NCLEX ?

Okay, so tell me how this works.. I have been reading about you hopefuls who have just taken the test and are awaiting your results. What I don't get is the question process. Is it bad to have more questions that little? Why does it cut off at a certain amount? And what the heck is ATT? Thanks! I am trying to prepare myself as much as possible before I jump in head first. Good luck all.

In Ohio, NCLEX ranges from 85 questions to 265 questions. The number of questions you answer before you're cut off does not indicate pass or fail.

This is how my instructors explained it to me....

The purpose of NCLEX is to test your skills and knowledge level. The questions get harder and harder with each consecutive correct answer. Once you answer a certain number of questions correctly at a certain level or higher, the test is over. I don't know what that level is. My test ended at question 85 and I thought I failed for sure. My friend's test ended at question 201 and she thought she passed. I passed. She failed. I heard that a classmate went all the way to question 265 and passed.

That's how it was explained to me also, fiesty lpn. I think I answered 90 and was possitive I'd failed. I didn't.

Good luck, mspriss154!
