- Jul 15, '10 by Hopefull nurseHi,
I also already have a B.S. from UNO and I will be starting the LPN program from Charity next month. I plan to bridge over to the RN program and then who knows.
I have to say though that because of the previous B.S. you cannot get pell grants. So, it will be loans for me all the way. If you have generous family members who are willing to help out, by all means take it.
Good Luck and Congratualtions! - Jul 15, '10 by Terika9I was also told that I could'nt get pell grants. I guess its more loans for me. But I know it will all be worth it in the end. Good Luck and Congratulations to you as well!!!
- Jul 15, '10 by Hopefull nurseThanks! So nervous and excited at the same time. Can't wait to start.
I think it sucks that you cannot get pell grants if you decided to go back to school and start a new career. I think they should award us pell grants for actually venturing back into college. If you have a family and a household to run, it is not a breeze!
But I guess laws are laws...I am glad though that I still can get loans. And you are right, in the end it will be worth it.
Good Luck!
