Most of my prerequisites were done at UNO with a few at Delgado. I've never attended LSU in BR. I've heard applicants from the LSU system get preference, but I think that has more to do with getting into the graduate nursing programs...

Thanks for all the info everyone, I did hear that as well so I'm guessing they do. I guess all I have to do now is wait for a call about the interview.

I took most almost all of my pre-reqs at Southeastern in Hammond and a few extra classes for a year at Our Lady of the Lake College in BR. I never attended LSU in BR, so I honestly believe they really look at you as a whole compared with your grades.

Oh, not sure how "true" it is, but I heard that applicants from LSU in BR get first preference... and I'm not coming from LSU. :anbd:

That's not true. A large number of people do come in from BR because they want to continue their education at LSU, but everyone is weighted the same when it comes to admission. It's just a rumor propagated by the large number of people who do come in from BR. As long as you took your classes at a legit school and meet the minimum requirements, that's what matters.

So, I'm assuming we will get to schedule at our pre-advising meeting? I feel like I should be doing something more right now before we start

... I hopped online and did the compliance training, I remembered seeing it on here that people had to log on and do it so when I got my information for my LSUHSC email account I saw it and I went ahead and took care of it. But yes, I think we have to wait for the pre-advising meeting for anything else.

What about our health papers like shots records and stuff? Do we need to have all that done before pre-advising?

I guess I'm just confused because on the acceptance letter it told us to go to New Students on the website and click our program...I get that. BUT once you click BSN all of the dates on all of the forms are still for the Fall 2011 semester. lol. ah

Hi y'all! I'm also applying in for Fall 2012!!!

I'm so nervous because I've read thru some of this thread and I noticed people saying they didn't get in because they were still in the process of take a few prereqs. When I apply I will still have Micro and Socio to take in the spring semester... how bad do you think this will hurt my chances? I have a 3.4 prereq gpa otherwise and I'm taking the HESI next week.

Also would anyone that has gotten in in the last few semesters mind posting their gpa/ HESI/ prereq situation so I could get a feel for what I'm up against?

Thanks so much!!

Hi,

I'm applying to LSU for Fall 2012,too! Being the academic procrastinator that I am ... I waited until the last minute to take the Hesi. I missed scheduling the Dec. 12th seating to take the exam and that has pushed my Hesi exam date to Dec. 27th. Am I on a suicide mission trying to get my application together by Jan. 15th? A fellow student in my chemistry class said that when she took the Hesi that she got her score and 2 printed out scores. Can you turn one of those in with your application? Or do you really have to wait up to 21 days to get your score? If so, I may have to kick myself in the orifice  Best of Luck to everyone applying soon! GEAUX TIGERS!!! Feel free to message me if you have questions along the way~ perhaps we can learn together!!
