hey does anyone know any info about the practical nursing program at the ltc in hammond, la?

Hey redchick, I am looking at doing this 9 week program through LTC in hammond with the articulation program from southeastern louisiana, I was to be a BSN grad this december but failed an OB course this summer and have since then been dismissed with a total of 13 credit hours to complete for my BSN. So in the mean time talking with a lady from SLU, I was sent an email about the PN program in which I can complete for the summer. If you know anything as well, let me know thank you.

God bless

Peter

i don't know anything about that program. i was interested in going to the votech for pn but before i go i wanted to know some info about it from any current students or former ones.

ANyone have more info on this program? When does it begin? is it over the summer?

i know i would like to know about this program to?

Hi, I graduated from Hammond LTC PN program in 2004. I still look back on it as boot camp lol

The nursing director is tough but you graduate prepared! There are quite a few graduates from there i have worked with over the past few years and none regretted going there. Best advice i can give is to go talk to them and take the entrance exam.

Well I am getting prepared for this LPN articulation program, basically all I will need to get my LPN licenses in 9 weeks is taking the OB, Peds, Practical Nursing Theory and Career Readiness, plus clinicals for OB, Peds, and Med-Surg. I am a bit worried just how stressful it may be doing all of this in 9 weeks, but I have had already 2 years of RN-BSN schooling already. I am taking at SLU right now the medical terminology that is needed for the LPN courses, which is a breeze. And to make this whole 9 week of going to get my LPN crazy more then it is just with nursing school, my girlfriend is having our baby boy expected due date of may 9th, with the school to start at the end of may!!! so yeah im working working working right now in preparation for school!! But thank you for letting me know how it is somewhat!! If I have any questions I will definately be coming back to ask, if that is not a problem!
