Hi classmates,

Now that the wait is over and the letters have been received and hopefully filled out an returned, is anyone else feeling anguish? It's strange, I know without a doubt that I made the right decision to quit work and go to Charity full time It's just I wish I could start tomorrow not August. The unknown makes me crazy.

It's like getting on the roller coaster. As soon as the coaster starts to move you think, oh no what have I done. Yet, when you get off you're ready to go again.

Just wanted to reach out and see how the rest of you are feeling now that the wait is over and, as one person put it, we can now push play!

Hellofirrehorse...

I know EXACTLY what you mean...happy because I am finally walking on my path instead of next to it, but sad that I am about to switch gears in life from being a stay-at-home mom to nursing student. BIG CHANGES!!! I too know without a doubt I made the right decision, but oh the time I will miss being mom has me a little down. I'll probably be the oldest one in the class lol. Anyway...congrats and can't wait to meet everyone!

Glad to hear from you Beautifulmirror (nice name!)

Thank you, it's nice to know I'm not alone or crazy.

I seriously doubt you will be the oldest unless you are over 46 :p

I'm looking forward to meeting you!

I chose that name because I divorced a narcissist and the name was perfect. If I had to be a mirror I wanted to be a beautiful one :)

Ha! starting over at 42, whew...that's a hard pill to swallow but I'm doing it!!!!

Can't wait for orientation and to actually get in the door.

I have a question, we are supposed to return our Acceptance Confirmation paper, LSBN signature sheet, supplemental information paper and it says on the acceptance letter return the general advising signature sheet with the admissions confirmation form. I don't think I got one of those...can you tell me what yours looks like so I don't screw up my first assignment? LOL

Thanks-

Beautifulmirror I did not have one of those sheets either. I hand delivered my sheets to charity personally on Friday and was not told I was missing anything... I am going to call when they open after spring break to double check!! I am so nervous about leaving my life as well. I woke at four this morning thinking about it! I'm excited to meet everyone. Is anyone going to the thing they are hosting April 21?

I will be at everything they are hosting...I am going Tuesday to hand in my acceptance confirmation and will bring everything with me just in case. I think all of it is manditory anyway right? I am getting excited and will have a blow out summer with the kids. I am so happy there are no summer classes!!!!

Do any of you guys have anymore classes to take? I am going to be finished all of my non-nursing courses after this semester.

I faxed my paper work, emailed it and I'm going to hand it in on Monday if possible. I don't want to take my chances of anything being misplaced lol. Also I think that if they see me insist they'll remember me if a space opens up for this fall. I know I'm crazy but that just shows how badly I want to get in this year. :)

Ok, so now I don't feel like I will be the oldest....I'm 36. To be honest, I was a little nervous about a meet and greet because I was thinking, all of these girls are going to be like 19. lol And Beautifulmirror, I'm a stay-at-home mom too.I'm ready for a change even though I will be sad dropping off my 2 yr old at preschool 3 days per week. My mom is going to watch him on Tues and Thurs.

Beautifulmirror, I turned in my paperwork on Friday, and the lady that sits at that desk behind the counter just asked for the first 3 sheets that you mentioned. I did get an advising sheet with my advisor's name. Did you receive that too? I'll be at the Open House too.

Yes, I got a sheet with my advisor's name, but it wasn't something to be returned. I guess that was just a mistake on the acceptance letter to turn in a general advisor signature sheet...anyway can't wait!

I received the letter on Wednesday, Thursday morning I called to set up an appt with the advisor but she told me that she didn't get the list of accepted students yet so until then I can't make an appt. my advisor told me that she'll find out before April 9. Has anybody gotten that response?

Hi Mamisu,

Yes, my advisor pretty much said the same thing. She said if I haven't heard from by April 9th to contact her. I'm sure they are still waiting to get all documents back so they can see how many seats they have left over and then fill them with those who were conditioned/waiting.
