Hello Everyone!

I know I'm early but I'm super excited to begin nursing school. I was wondering if anyone else here is planning to apply to Charity for Fall 2012? Are you done with your prereqs? Taken the HESI? What's your profile score?

I have taken all of my prereqs but it has been 6 years since I took A&P II lecture/lab so I'm taking it now at Delgado. I'm taking the lecture online and I go on campus for the lab. We have only done one exercise in lab so far and I already feel like its not going to be very easy. I took the HESI on Monday and I did pretty well so I'm done with that thank God!

I calculated my profile score and if I get an A in the A&P lecture I'll have 70 points. If I get a B or C, I'll have 65 points. I'm super nervous because when I talked to the admissions lady at Charity she told me the cut off tends to be a bit higher for the Fall semester than the Spring. From reading the forum, it looks like the cut off for Spring 2012 was around a 55 so I'm worried that the cut off for Fall will be like 75! :uhoh3:

I also am having my share of problems with financial aid, signed the promisory note but still no award posted...very frustrating! I already bought my books and have started going through the homework. I am not sure what needs to be done with the nursepak, higher one card (which I do not have), or anything else...quite confusing with no real direction from anyone at school, please respond if you have any information that might help to clear this up...also, is there anyone in mandeville/covington who will be interested in carpooling?

Try to recheck LOLa as far as your fin aid. I checked about 8:00am and my funds were posted. You can purchase the nurse pak at City Park for 43.00. You should have got the higher one card in the mail. It is only used for your refund. Money will be refunded to that card after the offical 14th day of school. However, you can request the monies to be released to your bank by filling out a form online and mailing it back in to higher one. See the financial aid for more info. I believe you could just stop by the northshore campus. for that!

Just confirmed that bookstore credits do start today. Also the nurse pack costs $43. My friend just purchased his today! Heard the system was down so, you might want to call be fore you go!

My financial aid is still not reflecting my account. The lady at financial aid told me that if it is not reflecting your account yet then it will on Monday. Hoping this is the case. Just wanted to let everyone know. I did go to the book store and purchased my books out of pocket today. $467 for the books and $40 for the nurse pack then taxes of course. The system was down when I was there earlier. So if you plan to use financial aid for your books you may want to call first to make sure the system is up and running. Has anyone gotten any information about how we are suppose to get on blackboard? I still haven't figured it out.

okay guys after standing in line for 2 hours I got my ebooks packet and my nurse pak. It feels really good to have something done.

Spoke to Nursing I coordinator, she said Black board will be available Saturday.

Thank you for the response, nurseflow, maybe the card will show up soon. I will keep checking for my award and will have to find the time to get that nursepak...i guess it is only available at city park?? I have been attempting to complete the chapter 29 healthcare crossword puzzle and most of the terms I come up with do not fill the spaces correctly...anyone else having this result?

hey...i was having the same problem with the crossword puzzle and contacted (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME - PLEASE DO NOT POST NAMES OF THOSE IN YOUR PROGRAM PER TERMS OF SERVICE). She said there was an issue with the printout and the terms do not fit correctly in the crossword puzzle. She said just answer the clues using your key terms.
