Be smart...don't go...misery does not love company... Get into Respiratory Therapy, Radiology Tech, Ultrasound, basketweaving...anything but nursing. Run...leave skid marks!
P.S. I graduated from Charity 4 years ago and have been sorry every day of my life that I chose this abusive profession.

Congrats!!! I just returned my papers that are due by June 30th, there was no sense in wasting time. I spoke to the student coordinator and she asked me was I taking any classes in the fall. All my pre-reqs classes are done so i am taking advanced medical term, abnormal psychology and dosage and calculations. She said that dosage and calculation class will really help me b/c so many students fail pharmacology b/c of the dosage and calculation..So for all those looking for classes to take look into dosage and calculation it will only help plus starting school in Spring we will already have an understanding..

Sorry to hear it hasn't gone quite well for you in the nursing field. But, for all of us, it is a dream come true. We decide to pursue this career quite aware of the hard task we have before us. It is a huge responsibility to care for peoples well being. Yes, it does pay well, but most importantly, it is about personal satisfaction. At the end of the day, it must feel pretty good to know that you cared someone to a healthy state today, or helped make it comfortable for someone who is, unfortunately, losing life. I witnessed the care given to my daughter at just 5 weeks of life. Those 4 days had a huge impact on me and changed me forever.

Congrats to those that have made charity class of spring 2010! Hope to follow in your footsteps fall 2011!

    Good luck in your journey!
