moving to nola

by jalevy

Hi

I have 2 years of experience as a Labor and Delivery RN and I am hoping to move home at the end of the summer. I am eager to get back to new orleans and to work in labor and delivery and ideally work in a teaching hospital.

Can anyone tell me what the pay range is for an experienced nurse in labor and delivery? also does anyone have any advice about which hospitals to work for and which to stay away from? I am currently working in a teaching hospital and I am thinking about staying in the same type of hospital. I know that LSU, Tulane, and Oschner are the hospitals with residents. Does any one have any information about the working environments/culture at this hospitals?

Thanks
Jessica
