LTC facilities in Shreveport

I will be relocating to the Shreveport area in the upcoming month and I am looking to work in the assisted living or LTC area. Is anyone familiar with the facilites in that area? I am trying to find out which ones are better than others. And if anyone knows of any that are hiring PLEASE let me know!!

Thanks SOOO much for any of your help!!

Hello - glad to see you will be moving to S port soon. My hubbie and I live West Monroe, about an hour or so away from there. One LTAC facility that I know something about is Cornerstone Hospitak. They have a location here as well as Shreveport. I have worked as an LPN when I was finishing RN school, then went back as an RN.
For the most part, this facility is a very pleasant place to worl. I did meet some of the management from the Sport location - they seemed very nice.

They have regular LTAC patients, as well as what they call the HOBS unit (This is like the ICU in most hospitals) as well an outpt center with a hyperbaric chamber for wound healing.

You can find them online, and if you email them about a position, they are usually pretty good about calling or emailing you back.

Thank you so much for your help. I'll be returning to school as well to become an RN. I'll look online for their website.

Thanks,
Allison

I hope it's of some help. I haven't been to the Sport location, but the staff and all from there were very nice the times I have met them.

I know the facilities, both locations are very staff friendly, and always want to make an effort when someone is going to school.

Good luck!

I live in Shreveport. There are several LTC Facilities here. My aunt works at Dubuis and she loves it. The website is http://www.dubuis.org/careers/shreveport_louisiana.aspx . Check them out and welcome to Shreveport.
