- Mar 20, '04 by loydjI work in our Risk Management dept. Part of my job is a clinical consultant. I review and analyze clinical charts when we have complaints, errors, lawsuits, etc.... Most LNC (Legal Nurse Consultants) do this independently on contract or work for a law firm. They do a clinical analysis of the chart for court cases. Some for the plaintiff (patient) and some for the defendant.( hospital or the physician, most of the time).
