hello nursemomceo and welcome to the legal nsg forum!

i looked at vm and aalnc as well as other programs before deciding to go with the aalnc program. although i think both vm and aalnc offer excellent programs which are comparable in content, i chose aalnc because of the cost of the total program and the fact that you can "pay as you go", rather than pay for it all up front. one major drawback with the aalnc program is that you must be self-disciplined to complete the course, but you can work at your own pace, and as i said before, it is far more economical than other options.

i don't think you will go wrong with either option. both programs offer solid and comprehensive training. you will need to decide which one will meet your schedule and budget, as well as which teaching method is better suited to you.

if you have more questions about the aalnc program, please post them here, or feel free to pm me.

good luck with your decision.

Wanting to know how others liked the seminar vs the home study? Were the seminars just "look at me" as some have said? Is it really worth the extra $$ to do the VM and do they really use the mentoring? if yes how much do they use it? also, the tool kit with the VM seminar, does anyone know where you can just buy that kit? thanks

"Look at me"??? Not sure what you mean.

The 6-day course is exceptional. Fast paced and filled with much information. You must study after the classes (which are all day long). Home-study is at your own pace with the same information. I was not the type to be motivated enough to do that and sought the 6-day course instead.

I sent a reply to your pm regarding the toolkit which is included in the VIP and Executive level packages. As far as I know, these products are not for purchase unless taking the course and/or already a CLNC.

Yes, you receive unlimited mentoring with the VIP course. But, as I pointed out in other messages, privately and on the public boards, VIP is not necessary to get the basic level of education. The individual will receive the exact same basic level education with any package purchased.

Is it worth it? Only you will be able to answer that question for it is an individual preferance.

Good luck, once again, with your decision(s).

everyone keeps saying the seminar is a "look how great i am" ....for vm...meaning she is all about her, her, her and it gets annoying....that is what i meant....but i figure a successful woman needs to show you what she has achieved in order to let you realize she can help you achieve what your needs are....right.....that is what i meant

i see.

well, i suppose there are a few who might feel this way for one reason or another.

vm is a dynamic woman who has made a name for herself, all true.

but, during the course, you are educated by many individuals, clncs, attorneys, other nurses, physicians, etc. you do not sit through 6 days of her lectures only.

Thank you. I appreciate that. I am here to assist you.

Good luck!!!

Resurrecting this thread from a few months ago; I've thought about this one a bit.

So why would Vickie make such a point of putting herself and her product so much in the forefront? How could that be an advantage to her students?

Think about it - everyone I read here tells me that constant marketing oneself is the way to get a LNC business going, and the one skill nurses don't learn in education, training, work environment...

I have no idea what Vickie's motives are; I do see her self promotion as a magnificent effort to jump-start her students' self-marketing esteem, build and transfer some enthusiasm and verve, and teach by example.

That looks useful to me, regardless of what Vickie's motives may be.

I am actually in the middle of the program right now... (taking a break from studying..) While I too am concerned with the cost and some of the features...I DO believe the overall sessions AND the opportunities thereafter ( mentoring , etc) are worth it. I am also doing the Apprenticeship afterwords... again.. I think it could all be wrapped up in one session but hey..it is her show...and my choice...but taking the VIP AND the Apprenticeship is definitely worth doing together...I wont bicker about price....but all that they offer together are the best tools to success...ASSUMING you are willing to get out there and be successful.
