Paralegal in Legal Nursing?

Ok, So I am currently in school to become a nurse. There is a Paralegal program at the University of Oklahoma here, so my question is if I was a nurse who is also a Paralegal (with strong medical law training) could I go into legal nursing?

Hello Katy!

It is recommended that the Legal Nurse Consultant have at least 2 years of nursing experience. It is this nursing experience that makes you valuable to the attorney. Whereas the paralegal focuses on the legal aspects, the attorney relies on the LNC for medical interpretation and insight into cases.
