I agree with Siri. The money's good, but it won't just fall in your lap. You have to market yourself. And I mean on a daily basis. I am an independent consultant (mainly because the salary for in-house nurses in my area is very low). Marketing isn't easy. Join your local chapter, that's a good way to get a feel for setting your prices and network.
